Find....

As a Mom of 5 and Grandma of 17 I have endeavored to find a way of being an example and encouragement to my family.
At the age of 17 I had both legs broken in a car accident and at the age of 59 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The memories of these times for years brought memories of dark times and the "assurance" of doctors that there were many things I would never be able to do.
After an ankle surgery to correct some complications from those many years before, my husband and I began to walk.
Several months later I took the challenge to walk 60 miles in 3 days for breast cancer. WOW...what a find!!!! All of a sudden at the age of 64 I had a way to show my kids and grandkids that "Age Doesn't Matter" and to turn the dark memories to  joy and thanksgiving. The JOY of having life and the THANKS that I can walk to bring HOPE to others!!
Whatever your challenge in life, don't give up, but look to find the thing  to bring light to your darkness and hope to someone else.Five Minute Friday...Find

  1. Mom-you didn't have to walk 60 miles to show us that age doesn't matter-you've always taught and shown us that we could be and do anything we wanted! But we are so proud of you for all your hard work and your commitment to helping other women fight breast cancer. Keep walking, mama!
